Georgia Physician Continuing Medical Education (CME) Requirements for Licensure Registration
25 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™ or equivalent per calendar year. No CME requirements for first-time license renewals.
Licensure cycle: 2 years
Equivalent Certificates: AMA PRA app, GME
Topics: Each licensee with DEA registration who prescribes controlled substances must complete opioid prescribing under 3 hours of Category 1 CME before their next renewal. Each physician must participate in a one-time education and training, for a minimum of 2 hours, regarding sexual boundaries, sexual misconduct, and the impacts and trauma of implicit bias.
