Maryland Physician Continuing Medical Education (CME) Requirements for Licensure Registration
50 hours of Category 1 CME credits per licensure cycle. First-time license renewals are exempt from CME requirements.
Partial credit for ABMS. For first license renewal, the CME requirement is waived, but the licensee must have completed an approved orientation program
Licensure cycle: Biennial
Equivalent Certificates: AMA PRA app, ABMS+
Topics: Required 1 hour must be on opioid prescribing.
